Cristen's Blog

Just another weblog

Yesterday I experimented with CSS, just creating a simple css file and styled a heading. I played with the margins and used the web developer tool to instantly see the changes to the css code. Today I am going to play some more.

There is so much to learn and do. I can understand the reason why we do a systems plan and create some wireframes as I need to understand how many columns I will have in my website and the layout before I figure out how to do. It helps you plan out the way the website looks.

I have seen this job I want to apply for and thought that this could be  simple exercise for me to improve my xhtml and css code skills but creating my resume and application as a website.

  1. Hi Cristen,

I’m finding that learning the CSS for my site, which is a lot simpler than yours I think, took me about four days with breaks in between. At the end of a day coding, when nothing seems to be working and you’re tearing your hair out, I would stop, leave it for a couple of days, then sit down and for some reason it would all seem so much easier. Weird, eh?

    • Thanks Claire, yeah I was looking at a video last night and there are so many things to do, doing the css this Friday and all of next week. Hopefully I can make it look coolio. Is there any advice you can give me? I have noticed that some CSS is done alphebetic order from top down not sure I can be that particular.
